Kid fishing gear is important for your junior angler. Kids need gear designed specifically for them, whether it be a kayak, paddles, PFD’s, or apparel. Having the right equipment to make your day on the water is extremely important, and that’s more true when it comes to kid fishing gear. You need a paddle that is the right size, a PFD that fits correctly and comfortably, and apparel which keeps them protected and comfy. Here’s a range of products of kid fishing gear that will have your junior angler feeling and looking great on the water.

kid fishing gear

It’s no different when it comes to kid fishing gear than it is when we’re choosing accessories. A paddle that is too long or short will be cumbersome on the water. A life jacket that doesn’t fit correctly can make for a day not so fun. Not having the correct apparel for the water can also make for a bad day. Besides, if you’re anything like me, then you want your kid fishing gear to protect and take care of your little ones. As we introduce our junior anglers into the sport that we all love so much, we want to make sure it’s a great experience for them.

Kid Fishing Gear

In part two of this series we’ll focus on the accessories that will make your junior angler complete. A focus on kid fishing gear which will include paddles, pfd’s, apparel, and other gear that will not only make your junior angler look like a pro, but feel like one too!

Paddles

A paddle is one of the most important tools we use as kayak anglers. There are many variables involved when choosing a paddle: length, weight, etc. It’s even more true for our junior anglers. A paddle too long will have your kid overworking themselves, but a paddle too short will also make for a tough day on the water. Many paddle companies offer sizing charts on their websites to help you choose the paddle that best fits your build.
