NuCanoe was relatively quiet leading up to the ICAST 2017 show, but showed out big time with the introduction of their latest fishing kayak, the Flint. The Flint features a smaller and lighter version of the quality kayak that anglers have come to know and appreciate when thinking about NuCanoe kayaks. The Flint is a relatively shorter kayak, but what it makes up for in size is the layout and rigging ability. Designed to feature a stronger platform with its open concept that anglers have come to love, the Flint is a great vessel for fly fishing or poling your favorite flats in search of fish.

We teamed up with NuCanoe team member, Everett Park, to show us the features of the new Flint kayak while attending the ICAST 2017 show down in Orlando, Florida. Everett’s walk through of the Flint gives us an in-depth look at what makes this kayak a must have for kayak anglers. The angled flush mount rod holders keep rods from getting tangled up. The Hawg Trough channel finally gives us a space to keep our measuring board close by, yet out of the way. The unique scupper hole channel design gives the deck more firmness for the kayak angler. Add in the extremely comfortable seat that is NuCanoe, and you’re well on your way to a comfortable ride in this great new kayak from NuCanoe.
