Day 22 of our 25 Days of Christmas features the great line up from Kaku Kayak with the Kahuna SUP and the Wahoo kayak. These are both great fishing platforms, super stable, and very affordable. We recently held a demo day in Northeast Florida giving anglers a chance to test out the new Kahuna and Wahoo.
Kaku Kayak features the Wahoo kayak and the Kahuna SUP. The updated 2017 Kahuna offers extreme stability, versatility and durability. Mount coolers, seats, storage boxes, rod holders and more to its rugged frame. It’s the first paddle craft of its kind to offer fully integrated mounting for the Micro Power Pole Shallow Water Anchor! The Kahuna is a perfect blend of both kayak and SUP. This hybrid gives anglers a clean open surface with which to stand and fish with ease. The hull of the Kahuna is more kayak like, making it very stable, yet nimble in the water. The features on the Kahuna give it the ability to be accessorized with tons of fishing accessories. The inset 18″ tracks maintain the smooth open deck area, but allows for rod holders, camera mounts, etc. There are also inserts in the rear of the Kahuna to add 12″ tracks for even more accessories.
The Wahoo is literally one of the smoothest kayaks I have ever paddled and fished off of. I’ve said it many times that “nimble” doesn’t even come close to giving a solid description of the Wahoo. The kayak paddles and responds perfectly while paddling and maneuvering in the water. The open deck offers plenty of room for standing and fishing, and the multiple tracks offer an array of accessory rigging to suit your fishing needs. Another great feature is the integrated Power Pole Micro mount.
