The Angler Pro from Bending Branches has been one of the most popular kayak fishing paddles the past 2 years winning paddle of the year in 2013 and 2014. It’s no surprise how excited I was to get my hands on an Angler Pro to test out on the water. I received my Angler Pro paddle a few days before leaving on a trip to south Florida.I’ve personally been a big admirer and fan of the paddles from Bending Branches and Aqua Bound. Quality is number one when I consider paddles from Bending Branches. I’ve mostly used the Manta Ray Carbon from Aqua Bound, and have been interested in testing its sister paddle in the Angler Pro. Upon initial inspection, the paddle definitely clears the “eye test”. The blade of the Angler Pro offers 3 different color choices: Realtree Camo, Sea Green, and Camo. The sea green looked absolutely amazing, with a yellow and green design, which could also help aid a kayak angler on the water with extra visibility. The shaft is carbon giving the paddle a light feel which is important for those longer kayak fishing trips. On the shaft is a 40″ measuring ruler for those times when we “accidentally” forget our measuring board. The paddle itself is extremely light, weighing in at only 30oz.

Exploring with the Angler Pro

I was very impressed with the performance of the Angler Pro while paddling and poling the flats of Ft. Pierce, Florida. The sturdy yet lightweight design aided in paddling into the wind while looking for that next trophy fish. I’d highly recommend the Angler Pro paddle from Bending Branches to anyone who’s searching for their next kayak paddle. I’ll guarantee that you won’t be disappointed as the Angler Pro lives up to its billing as the top paddle on the market.

And they expect performance that matches their rigs. The Angler Pro is that kind of paddle. The Anger Pro was designed by kayak anglers, for kayak fishing. Serious gear for a serious fishing experience. This 30oz gem from Bending Branches, with its T-700 Carbon shaft and Multi-Laminate Fiberglass blades, makes us all look like pros.
