There are a ton of different sunglasses on the market today that appeal to the avid outdoorsman, kayak angler, and SUP angler.  Some are relatively inexpensive, and some can put a serious dent in your wallet. Many of us simply can’t afford to spend several hundred dollars on a pair of polarized sunglasses, so we need quality, but on a budget.

As an avid kayak angler that spends a lot of time on the water, and outdoors for that matter, one of the most important accessories that I use every time I am out is a good quality pair of polarized sunglasses to help protect my eyes from the harmful glare of the sun. Over the years I have tried a lot of different sunglasses, and like everybody out there, I have my “go to” pair. Today we are going to take a look the Kingfisher sunglasses offered by Guideline Eyegear.

There are certain qualities that I look for in a pair of polarized sunglasses. First and foremost, they must be lightweight. When spending hours upon hours on the water, the last thing you want is a heavy pair on sunglasses on your head. Secondly, they must provide total eye coverage from the sun.  You simply don’t want the sun’s harmful UV rays blasting you in the eye. Last but certainly not least, theymust have a good quality polarized lens that provides clear vision while I am out on the water.

The Kingfisher has all of these qualities, and passes the tests with flying colors. With a large wraparound style frame with large lens, the Kingfisher keeps the sun’s UV rays at bay. The Kingfisher is extremely light and very comfortable.  So much so that I almost forgot I had them on. The lenses are made of a Polycarbonate lightweight material, and are 100% polarized with a blue mirror tent.  This gives the angler a glare free and clear view, especially while out on the water.  The wide wrap style frame protects your eyes from the sun, wind, and rain.  The Kingfisher is also Rx capable for those who need a prescription.

Simply put, if you’re in the market for a quality pair of polarized sunglasses that are durable, lightweight, and won’t break the bank, then give the Kingfisher from Guideline Eyegear a try.
