KastKing has been pretty busy as of late, and are now adding rod and reel fishing combos to their already deep line up of fishing gear.
KastKing Adds Fishing Rod and Reel Combos to Their Product Lineup
Matched quality fishing rod and reel combo packages are being introduced at several price points by KastKing in the US market.
KastKing has combined their bestselling fishing reels with high quality fishing rods to create affordable fishing rod and reel combos. KastKing combined the popular Sharky III spinning reel with Toray IM7 carbon graphite blanks equipped with Fuji O-ring guides that handle braided or monofilament fishing line, Fuji reel seats, in six lengths ranging from 6’6″ to 9′ and rod powers covering medium and medium heavy. Reels are matched for balance and performance to the rods in 2000, 3000, 4000, and 5000 sizes. The Sharky III rod and reel combos cover all freshwater and inshore saltwater fishing applications. KastKing Sharky III cosmetically matched fishing rod and reel setups are priced at $109.98 to $119.98 depending on size.
To cover entry-level anglers or those on a tight fishing budget who want an exceptional value, KastKing has also created the Centron Spinning rod and reel package. This matches the venerable KastKing Centron spinning reel, which is virtually identical to the KastKing Summer spinning reel, except for the handle knob and color scheme. These KastKing fishing reels have had an outstanding customer satisfaction rating for the last four years.
astKing teamed up the Centron spinning fishing reel with renowned Toray IM6 carbon fiber two-piece blanks, braid line ready stainless steel line guides with O-ring inserts, contoured EVA handles and fighting butts with a split rear handle design. The KastKing Centron combo will initially be available in five lengths from 6′ to 7′ in medium power. Centron spinning combos are priced at $59.98.
KastKing will add to the rod lengths and powers later this year. Reel sizes will start at a compact size 2000 and go to size 5000 for the soon to be released 8′ heavy action rod intended for catfish, salmon and steelhead. As in the case of the Sharky III setup, the Centron rod and reel combo is cosmetically matched.
KastKing will introduce an affordable baitcaster rod and reel combo later this year for value-minded buyers.
“We are very excited about this new product development,” says Tom Gahan, Chief Marketing Officer at KastKing. “I feel there will be a fair number of people in the fishing public who will feel the same. The KastKing Sharky III and Centron – Summer reels are popular and have done extremely well for us. It made perfect sense to match them with quality KastKing rods for added value. It also eliminates an issue with many that are new to fishing who are unsure of what size rod and reel to put together. KastKing has matched these setups to cover almost any freshwater or inshore fishing needs.
“Another concern was creating fishing tackle for the youth market. Our lightweight 6′ medium power KastKing Centron rod with the 2000 Centron reel is a size that many young anglers can handle. We will be putting out the Cadet baitcasting series shortly with the same purpose in mind. Again, the baitcaster reel and pole combo is value driven and aimed at the American market.”
